My Mom's new sofa quilt is all pieced, sandwiched and in the process of being basted together. It's sort of an Irish Chain pattern with flower-printed panels in alternate rows.
The flower block, being unpieced, doesn't appear to want to lie flat, but I may exploit that and close-quilt around the flower and puff it out a bit anyway.
Otherwise, it's coming together nicely. I pin baste the whole thing first, then hand baste so I can remove the pins - it's the only way I've ever been able to avoid those unwanted tucks on the back when I machine quilt. --cds
